Redondo beach fishing?

Today I was fishing with a few of my friends, a boy took a black man with a lure that was not even moving. When I was fishing I've seen a few fish swim close to my bait, then swim, (I was using cut squid) that I've seen a massive school of tuna, 3 they came after my appeal, but then much interest that I am doing wrong?

I used to catch tuna off small batches Redondo pier in the port (or out of the rock wall), either live or anchovies in a "nice pen, a yellow foot or flying a couple of inches long a 6 - the leader behind half plastic bubble filled with water. You cast it out, and splashes of the bubble in the outcry which draw the attention of the fish, and one could snatch the pen. If you do not have Live Bait, this is probably the best way to catch bonito from a spring. I also remember seeing schools of bonito cruise around the inner harbor dock, quays, much as a child. I never had any of these fish to bite, however. I have an idea of these fish were on a "tour mode" instead of "feed" mode, but if I had to throw bait that probably would have woken them up. As for the halibut, I suspect that the fish was caught the sinking lure and as soon as they hit the bottom. Halibut do not run with bait, so it might be have sat there with the lure in his mouth until his friend pulled the line and felt. (Halibut must be 22 inches to maintain - if the fish was brief, I hope your friend release it - otherwise the fine can run a few hundred dollars if caught.) with squid, all that is likely to catch Perch dock are small and smelled around the pillars (the fish we saw were probably smelled.) You will do best if you hang the bait deeper, with small strips of squid inches (long or smaller) in about a # 8 hook.
